Country House Colli

Colli is a beautifully restored farmhouse with charming interiors, elevated at the top of a family estate surrounded by magical 360 degree views. The Apuan mountains behind and a stunning view of the large span of sea of the Versilia coastline . The house is also a thirty minute drive through idyllic countryside to the historical town of Lucca, known in Tuscany for its hundred churches. The gardens of mediteranean wild herbs and shrubs that surround Colli offer several areas where guests can relax. The patio at the front of the house has a large wooden table to seat 12 beneath a pergola overlooking stunning views of small villages dotted across the valley and the sea beyond. In the adjacent walled garden there is another outdoor eating area with a perfectly functional ancient stone oven where bread was baked for alle the houses on the estate untill the 1960’s perfect for outdoor grills and pizza nights. Just Beyond it is a 10X5m pool nestled in nature, exclusively for guests. For several years Colli was the home and studio of a renowned artist who had transformed the house according to his taste. Small frescoes on the walls of the kitchen, as well as a Morroccan style sitting room remain untouched. The house, set on two floors can accommodate up to six guests. On the ground floor is a large eat-in kitchen with Carrara marble tops, antique hand made painted tiles and large communal wooden table. Behind the kitchen is a spacious room for washing machines, general storage and larder. On the other side of the staircase on the ground floor is the main sitting room with a chimney and a piano that gives onto the smaller adjoining Moroccan style sitting room with a large smart TV. A corridor leads to a bathroom with shower and a double bedroom. On the first floor are two large bedrooms; a double master bedroom with breathtaking views and the artist’s former studio, now a bedroom with two queen size beds. The rooms share a large bathroom with shower and tub. The other side of the house with a totally separate access road, , entrance and parking is lived in by the owner. The pool and all the external areas are exclusively reserved for guests. Casa Colli is the perfect place for animal lovers as the other full time residents are all rescue animals: Camilla the dog, Fukyo the donkey and a pony called Oscar. There are many ancient paths for wonderful walks and excursions that lead into the mountains starting right from the house. Despite Casa Colli being totally immersed in nature, just a few minutes away is the town of Camaiore as well as renowned restaurants typical osterie and inexpensive trattorie for all sorts of Eatingchoices. .The famous Beaches and resorts of Versilia from Viareggio to Forte dei Marmi range from Super organized and luxury beach clubs but also less expensive beaches ideal for families and of course free beaches like La lecciona and others. For art lovers, Pisa and Florence are respectively thirty minutes and an hour away by car.and of course for those who will drive a little longer Siena San Gimignano Arezzo and other lovely sites to visit including the famous marble quarries in Carrara where Michelangelo chose his block to make the David. Another seven restored houses lie inside this lovely 100 acre estate, some of which are lived in by the owners , others that are rented making the atmospherre of Gallena private but also friendly .

1) Check in is from 15.00 to 19.00 After 19.00 is required an extra charge of 10 € for each hour of delay. We do not check in after 23.00. Late check in must be agreed in advance and is subject to availability.

2) Check out is by 10.00 a.m.

3) At check in guests must pay a security deposit of Euro 200.00 which will be returned at the end of the stay in the absence of damage to the property.
