The Apartment Giovanna is a beautiful penthouse located on the third floor (no elevator) of a characteristic building in the historical town of Lucca and features a huge terrace with 360° views. The perfect spot for a romantic retreat, this apartment has a large living room with dining area, a fully equipped kitchen with dining table, a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a modern bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo. There is a double sofa bed in the living area. The apartment is located on the top floor of a characteristic building only 20 meters away from the famous 8th century Romanesque church of San Michele. There are many stairs but, it's worth the climb! The views are incredible. From the panoramic terrace you can see the main attractions of the town: The Tower Guinigi, famous for its trees on top; the bell tower of the cathedral of San Michele, the Tower of the Clock; and the surrounding countryside. Enjoying a glass of local wine and watching the sunset from the terrace will make your stay unforgettable.

The apartment is located in pedestrian area. The closest free parking is about 1,3 km away and it's situated in via Pubblici Macelli. The closest toll parking is about 700 meters away and it' s located in Piazzale Bettino Ricasoli (the same square of the Train Station). The parking costs 1.00 euro/h during the day (8.00/20.00) and 1.00 Euro all night long (20.00/8.00).

Amazing terrace - worth the stairs ! And in a very central location. Host was very helpful at check in with advice on area. Bathroom is upstairs a ways from bedroom, which could be an issue for some,..

This must be the best place to stay in Lucca, if you can manage 76 steps from street to terrace! It's such a perfect location, right in the centre of everything. On arrival, it was easy to find a taxi at the train station to take us to the door as the walk with heavy luggage would have been too much in the heat. However, we did manage to carry all of our luggage to the bus station in the cool of the morning. You will sleep well in an elegant, comfortable bedroom, appreciate the spacious bathroom and not want to leave the terrace. That is all that we expected and even provides a cooling breeze on a hot evening. A photographer's dream: the Lucchesi roofs are pure art! And, as for all those steps? Well they justify another gelato before coming home!

Wonderful warm welcome from Roberto!! Amazing communication and support with train schedule! Beautiful view, clean and unique place to stay! Lots of steps inside and out so you need to be okay with that also no AC but there is a fan. Temp was fine for us but if you like cooler temps this is not for you . Absolutely Perfect location!! Heard an amazing concert from our terrace! Food and shops just outside! We would stay here again!

Lucca is an amazing city and the apartment is beautiful! Location couldn’t have been better. Many wonderful restaurants within walking destinations. Nice shaded roof top seating area with a view of all the different towers. Large living room with dinning area and in kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen and with a small washer in bathroom. Some rooms had beautiful sky lighting. Really enjoyed the space! Would like to stay there on our next trip to Lucca!
